Most commonly is...
Yep, Carly Simon's You're So Vain!
Told you it was random! And fun, and catchy, and been in my head for months upon months, going on years. No kidding.
You walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye in the mirror as you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner, and...
You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't You?
You had me several years ago when I was still quite naive
Well you said that we made such a pretty pair
And that you would never leave
But you gave away the things you loved and one of them was me
I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee, and...
You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't You? Don't You?
I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee, and...
You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't You?
Well I hear you went up to Saratoga and your horse naturally won
Then you flew your lear jet up to Nova Scotia
To see the total eclipse of the sun
Well you're where you should be all the time
And when you're not you're with
Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend
Wife from a close friend, and...
You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't You? Don't you?

Next? Yes, there's more. This one cracks my husband up...and embarrasses me just a skoach.
Yep, it's the theme song to the 90's cartoon, DOUG. You know the theme song....
all the "do do do do do's?" Don't make me sing it for you!
The last one that is constantly in my head is...
Grandpa (Tell Me 'Bout The Good Old Days) by none other than The Judds.
It's not as random as the others though...it was actually played at my Grandpa's funeral, but I've listened to it many times long before that.
Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Sometimes it feels like
This world's gone crazy
Grandpa, take me back to yesterday
When the line between right and wrong
Didn't seem so hazy
Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say?
Did families really bow their heads to pray?
Did daddies really never go away?
Oh, Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Grandpa, everything is changing fast
We call it progress
But I just don't know
And Grandpa, let's wander back into the past
And paint me the picture
Of long ago
Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say and then forget?
Did families really bow their heads to pray?
Did daddies really never go away?
Oh, Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Sing it with me! Ooooooooh, Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Sometimes it feels like
This world's gone crazy
Grandpa, take me back to yesterday
When the line between right and wrong
Didn't seem so hazy
Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other come what may?

This song soooo reminds me of my childhood. When I sing it or it's in my head, it reminds me of my momma. Yep, she loves to sing just as much as I do. I remember growing up with her always listening and singing along to something.....Randy Travis, Ricky Van Shelton, Cher, The Mama's and The Papa's, gospel, and so many more! Geeeeeeez, the memories are flooding my mind now.
What are some of the random songs that you just can't seem to shake outta your head? Or even some from your childhood that might bring a smile to your face?
my mom listened to all those same ones! thanks for taking me down memeory lane! (and for getting "your so vain" stuck in my head)
